It turned out we won the can competition! The smiles on these kindergarten faces and the kindness exploding in their hearts when we delivered the food was extraordinary. We are so thankful for the experience to give to our community and to have a hands-on learning experience of how we can help others that do not have as much as we do.
Over the past few weeks, Mountain View students collected canned food for a local food pantry. As an incentive, the class that brought in the most cans would have a chance to actually deliver all of the food to the pantry and receive a special treat. Our class was inspired to be good citizens in our community and continued bringing in food each and every day of the competition. We brought in over 200 cans! It turned out we won the can competition! The smiles on these kindergarten faces and the kindness exploding in their hearts when we delivered the food was extraordinary. We are so thankful for the experience to give to our community and to have a hands-on learning experience of how we can help others that do not have as much as we do.
