Thank you to all of our gracious parents who were able to brave the cold and come along with us to the farm. We couldn't have gone without your help!
Burrrr! It was a chilly day at the farm but that didn't stop us from having an awesome learning adventure. Once we arrived to the farm, we met Farmer Jim. He told us all about the different types of trees he has on his farm. Farmer Jim showed us how many different animals, from birds to bees and deer to bears, use evergreen trees as a home or shelter. He explained the life cycle of an evergreen tree and how he receives the trees he plants as saplings. Thank you to all of our gracious parents who were able to brave the cold and come along with us to the farm. We couldn't have gone without your help!

Over the past few weeks, Mountain View students collected canned food for a local food pantry. As an incentive, the class that brought in the most cans would have a chance to actually deliver all of the food to the pantry and receive a special treat. Our class was inspired to be good citizens in our community and continued bringing in food each and every day of the competition. We brought in over 200 cans! It turned out we won the can competition! The smiles on these kindergarten faces and the kindness exploding in their hearts when we delivered the food was extraordinary. We are so thankful for the experience to give to our community and to have a hands-on learning experience of how we can help others that do not have as much as we do. |
